ParlaComeMangi organizes food and wine tasting events worldwide.
We have current, fixed locations in some of Liguria’s famous and spectacular tourist spots such as Santa Margherita, Rapallo, Camogli and Genova.
With Entertasting we create not only an event, but also an unforgettable culinary experience too. Some of our featured tasting events are, The Pesto Show, The Rapallo Foodie Tour, Cooking Classes and Wine Tastings. However, we have plenty more to offer and are open to customizing per request. Our goal is to provide an entertaining, delightful and memorable experience for our Guests to savor for a lifetime.
We offer three different levels of wine tastings, for the Curious, the Enthusiasts and the Connoisseurs. Each tasting consists of 3 carefully selected, Italian artisanal wines pertaining to the level selected. A rich array of hams, cheeses and breads from our own shop will be served during the tastings.
The approach to our cooking classes is to provide story telling about Genova and Liguria expressed through the traditional recipes of this land. Guests are given a homemade pasta experience with an authentic, Genovese pasta Chef. This cooking class becomes a game in which the guests are involved in discovering with their “mani in pasta”, (hands in pasta), the secrets of a traditional cuisine. Some of our traditional dishes consist of trofie al pesto or pansoti with salsa di noci (stuffed pasta with a creamy walnut sauce). In addition to the homemade meal, local wine and food tasting is also included in this cooking class experience.
Someone here in the deli-store also studied Theatre.
And you can’t tell stories about the treasures of the Italian cuisine without a glimpse through the eyes of an all-around charmer.
His name is Guido and he’s the funniest guy we’ve got!
“Entertasting”, (tasting with entertainment), is made-up of the personalized tastings that we create in the deli-shop, on the fairy boats, on the yacht, in the Villas, in the castles, and in the shops, to compliment the quality of the products and dishes served. It’s our brilliant and professional format for our international, (and also national!), guests to learn about the traditions, flavors and delicacies of this land, all while having fun. In the end, it’s an effective and engaging story, using the art of Theatre to teach us.

Some of our featured tasting events are, The Pesto Show, The Rapallo Foodie Tour, Cooking Classes and Wine Tastings. However, we have plenty more to offer and are open to customizing per request. Guests are welcomed with an Aperitivo toast consisting of local, sparkling wine and focaccia. The group will then head to the main location area where our chef, with the help of our guests, will prepare
the mortar-made pesto sauce recipe. Pesto alla Genovese is made by ‘pounding’, (pestare, like the name says), the aromatic basil leaves with garlic, cheese, pine nuts and Ligurian extra virgin olive oil into a fine paste, using a marble mortar and a pear-wood pestle.
The event is finished with the presentation and tastings of, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, local olive spread tartines, and three different aged artisanal balsamic vinegars.
This tour takes its Guests behind the gastronomic scenes of lovely Rapallo.
The tour starts at one of the city’s most unique monuments, the Musical Kiosk with its fanciful fresco, before continuing on to Rapallo’s vibrant food market to explore the produce and herbs that are featured in Ligurian recipes. The tour then continues to a nearby artisanal pasta shop, where a local chef makes traditional, stuffed pasta called “pansoti” with market-fresh herbs,
a few other ingredients and his trusty rolling pin. Next it’s time for some street food. Guests will be introduced to one of our favorite focaccia bakers serving this
decadent treat, flat, oven-baked bread, hot from the iron with a glass of local Vermentino wine.
The final stop is in our own bottega,
an authentic shop filled to the rafters with delicacies like cured meats, oils and vinegars, handmade pasta and wine.
Here, you’ll also have the chance to make pesto alla Genovese.
Finally to finish off the tour, pandolce is also on the menu; enjoy this traditional cake containing raisins, nuts and sundried raisins with a sweet Moscato wine from nearby Portofino and toast to the stellar recipes and lifelong memories you’ll be taking home.
This experience will let you learn the secrets of the mortar-made pesto starting from where one of its main ingredients originates…the extra virgin olive oil.
The tour will take you back to a treasured and exclusive time by visiting a wonderful oil mill from 200 years ago, perfectly conserved among the hills above Rapallo.
The tour will start with a welcome at the main gate of the “Castrusso” locality with focaccia and artisanal sparking, white wine from Genova.
Madam Ivana will talk about the secrets of the olive pressing in her olive mill from the 19th century and the anecdotes tied to the ancient pressing techniques.
The small town of Castrusso will reveal the stories of its protagonists
that have spent their life up here for the past two centuries.
Next, the Guests will be accompanied to the patio area where Gabriella, our “casana” (traditional Genovese cook) will talk about the story of the mortar-made pesto sauce and will entertain the Guests with a cooking show dedicated the Genovese sauce; also letting whoever would like to give it a try participate.
The Guests will then taste the freshly prepared Pesto on crostini; followed by a tasting comparing extra-virgin olive oils from different regions of Italy (Liguria, Umbria and Sicily), taggiasca olive patè and the ancient Mollana cheese.
The experience will close with the final tasting by pairing Pandolce Genovese (sweet, fruitcake) with the rare Moscato wine from the Gulf of Tigullio.
